Building an NB IoT device with reliable positioning inside a very small footprint is not easy. Placing the radio, planning the ground plane and keeping efficiency high often requires several redesigns before performance is acceptable.
This design guide explains a complete reference implementation based on the STMicroelectronics ST87M01 module working together with Ignion Virtual Antenna® technology. The TRIO mXTEND component is used for global NB-IoT coverage, while the DUO mXTEND component enables accurate GNSS reception.
